I remember playing this and loving the way you handled creating the space with a floor map of a house. Please add some music and it would give more credit to your game as the aesthetic and story line was carefully thought out in your creation. Also, I think a timer till momma comes back would complete this game.
good work :)
Liaaaa, I love the theme! Getting all the socks into a washing machine is something I always struggle with because I always lost one of them! I really love the start scene and win/lose scene! Instructions are also well placed. The cat is a bonus thing to plat around and I think it can be more fun by adding some self movement onto it.
I like the use of architectural floor plan as your backdrop. The color scheme and graphic style fits nicely together too. The only thing is that I kept having trouble getting into one of the rooms in the corner... there seems to be no door to it? Also just like Gracie mentioned, I wish the element of Mom coming home can be more incorporated into the game(for example, with a timer in place), that would be great!
I really like your color palette and visual style, especially the floor plan. It's such a great idea, it really sets the tone for the project and makes this whole experience more immersive. The way the player can navigate to each room to collect socks makes this experience so real. It must took you some time to set up the colliders. I think it would be even better if you included some audio components!
Wow the detailed floor plan and the colliders are really nicely made! Not to mention that players can push the cat around the house haha, it's so cute! I feel your project has a great idea and is executed really well by you. I think having a timer could be a good addition to this game, making this game more nervous and realistic, as if counting down the time of Mom coming home.
Feel so related to your game and the floor plan is such a cool idea and it lets the player spend time going through each room. Actually, my favorite scene is the "fail" and I like the way how you put many socks in the background. Also, the way how the player can kick the kitten away is an unexpected bonus. It would be great to have a more contrasting color for the floor plan.
The theme of this game is relatable to me. I also feel the floor plan gives this game a unique quality. I wonder how you make your code fit with the floor plan. I feel this is not easy. There are some places, like the bed in the bottom right room, the character can't go across from the top but will go across if I do it from the bottom. I also wonder what is red paint. I think adding a timer and the cat as a hinder are both good ideas. I also hope to see more stocks hide in the room. Maybe hiding them under the bed in the bottom right room is a good idea. It will only be found when the player tries to go across the bed from the bottom.
Hahahah I like the graphic it's a cool style, especially your use of a floor plan :) Also we have the same cat hahah! I think for the future you can add up the difficulty level and make it a game to really have players trying to "find" socks. For example, you can put the socks under the bed or on top of something so that the player have to get a tool to take it out.
I really like the concept of the game, you get the idea that many boys will throw their socks everywhere at home. I agree with Crytal that the interior map approach is very smart and straightforward for players to understand. My suggestion is that maybe you can set up a countdown clock that represents the mom will come back after that time, so the game difficulty will be increased a little and it's more challenging.
Lol, the idea of collecting socks is very funny. Using a interior plan is creative, but I would suggest that may be blow it up a little bigger. I am having a little hard time to move through the doors. The characters are drawn too cute, especially the cat. When I hit it, it just flew away to the other side hhhh. I really enjoy your game, and hope you will add more levels in the future. I will definitely play!
